Taking cue from the classic story of King Midas whose wish to turn everything he touched to gold was granted to him by the Greek god Dionysus, the concept behind jewelry and accessory brand King Midas rests in turning your valuables into gold just the same. Created and harnessed by the artistic trio made up of Don D. (Model/Actor/Stylist), Davey Bojangles (Photographer/Artist) and ILL Will (Graphic Designer/Audio Engineer/Artist), King Midas is all about providing an alternative to the already saturated market of fine accessories, while keeping the amount of dollars you spend in check.
The best bit: all of their pieces are unisex and you can even request custom pieces of your own to be made. And while some may cringe at the idea that most of the offerings on tap, from the King Midas collection are in fact made of brass with 18-karat gold plating, the latter of which eventually wears off, Don D. says of the effect, “[It] gives each piece a vintage-worn look, so every piece has its own individuality to it as time passes.”
Individually crafted as “works of art” with the thereafter in mind, you can even “put your King Midas piece on display in your home or office”, should you ever tire of wearing it on your person.
