NAILS: Trends for Spring 2012

After an excess of neon and oddball hues, we’re finally putting away those funky colors for classic hues.

There’s big news afoot this season: nude nails are back for 2012! But don’t fear bright lacquer lovers, though this season emphasizes pretty, wearable shades of cream and beige you can still get your color on with this season’s brighter shades. Imagine classic reds, chic corals, snazzy pops of hot pink, oranges, soft pastels and mellow yellows mixed in with cool ombre and metallic designs- each guaranteed to add a pop if beige bores.

Long, rounded falsies in a nude blend of Copper Shimmer Effect, Colour in Putty or a Desert Suede by CND Colour Effects (More, HERE) are a fabulous way to channel your inner bad girl this spring. This look is so Studio 54, but totally 2012 worthy. You can also keep your nude mani, but throw in an upside down french atop, a la moon style. It’s a cool way to keep the all natural, gorgeous single-hues, while adding a dash of flavor to the pot. Matching lipstick and polish is definitely on trend as well, so try a coral lip with your coral nail color and you’ll be on your way to stunting perfectly with this eye-catching look.

To get the natural look, go with Zoya. Their winter line is going to carry right over into spring. And for girls who prefer natural products, Zoya’s also toxin-free. Check Zoya’s line HERE.

This spring, Chanel grants us that subtle touch of color that we need to liven things up. With soft, floral hues that are neither too bright nor too neutral, we just love Chanel for 2012. Find your Chanel hues HERE.

A classic favorite, Opi Nail Lacquer seems to always be in season. Whether you’re going for lights, brights or nudes, Opi has it all. More Opi colors HERE.
